Hi,
Thank you for your trust. I’m really excited that you want to continue the journey of working on your mental strength in climbing together.
Here is some basic information which is important to know:
Everything we talk about is confidential and stays between us – unless you give me the permission to talk to e.g. your coach, your parents or partner or if I am legally committed to pass on information in case of personal health risks.
I take notes in our sessions to be able to prepare in the best possible way for our sessions.
It is really important to have an honest relationship with you.
• There are as many different mental strategies as there are climbing holds in a gym. If you liked something, tell me. If you didn’t, you can tell me honestly.
• To be able to guarantee the best possible coaching experience, honesty is the key. Only if you honestly tell me what you liked or what you didn’t like, what you like to continue working on – and what not, I can adapt my coaching to your needs. Don’t be shy. I believe this is incredibly important to improve both our relationship and your coaching experience.
You are also responsible for your own goal setting, for working on the process (e.g. by doing little homework you might be given) and for evaluating the process.
“Grass doesn’t grow faster when you pull it.” Working on your mental strength is a process that requires time. Be patient with yourself.
It can help and save time, to think about what you want to work on in advance. We can then spend as much time on solving the issue as possible.
It is important that my coaching style suits you. If you feel like it doesn’t feel free to speak to me!
Here is a checklist for our session:
A good Internet connection
Make sure you have Paper & Pencil in case you have to write something down
Recommendation: headphones with built-in microphone
Quiet, undisturbed environment
