+ Who is the Fear of Falling Masterclass for?

This Masterclass is for everyone who is afraid of falling in lead climbing or bouldering, indoors or outdoors, regardless of how old you are, how hard or how professionally you climb. + Is this available internationally?

Yes! This Masterclass is available to anyone in any time zone, in any country. All you need is an internet connection. Weekly materials will be sent to you by email each week, and all live Q&A community calls & group coachings will be recorded so that they can be accessed at any time.

+ Will I overcome my Fear of Falling when I do this Masterclass – particularly working online?

Yes, this Masterclass will definitely help you improve your fear management if you keep persistently and patiently working on it and apply all the provided mental tools, techniques and inputs. We see ourselves as facilitators, providing you with all our knowledge, climbing experience and psychological input to make this happen. It doesn't matter when it's online or on-site. The mental training tools and strategies remain the same – and it’s up to you to apply them and train falling.

+ I don’t like falling in lead climbing. What do I do?

First of all, it’s ok to not be comfortable with falling (yet) when you start this Masterclass. We will systematically guide you to get more comfortable with falling. You will also receive psychologically tried and tested exercises which support you to reach your ultimate goal step-by-step – based on your current level and on what’s currently in your comfort zone. In case the roots of your fear derive from e.g. a difficulty trusting others (in this case, your belaying partner), a fear of failing or losing control – and this doesn’t only affect your climbing, but potentially also your every day life, it might be worth looking at the LIVE or VIP programs to specifically work on these fears.

+ I don’t have much experience in climbing yet, can I still do this course?

We encourage anyone who is afraid of falling to take this Masterclass. However, climbing and safety knowledge (how to belay) are required for this class. If that’s the case, don’t hesitate to sign up – it’s not about how much experience you have, but rather about how you can systematically improve your fear management. Regardless of your level of climbing, we can assure you that you’ll learn something new and valuable.

+ What do I need for this Masterclass?

You will need your normal climbing equipment (for lead climbing: harness, rope, shoes, chalk bag, belaying device; if climbing outside: helmet, quickdraws, carabiner; for bouldering: shoes, chalk bag, and a crashpad for bouldering outdoors). Plus, for most of the exercises you will receive, it’s helpful to have a pen and paper.

+ How long do the modules take?

The length of each module varies depending on the topic. There will be modules, where the video instruction will only take about 7 minutes, but it will be up to you to do the self reflection exercises and worksheets in the workbook – which can take of course longer. There will be other modules, where the video instructions will take around 30 minutes. Plan enough time in your day to sit down in a calm place and work on your fear management. Ideally, this would be a day before you go climbing again, so you can potentially already apply what you learnt on the wall.

+ I’m thinking about purchasing the DIY Masterclass, but what if I get stuck doing this by myself?

Don’t worry, we are always there to support you in the best possible way. :-) If you realise that the DIY doesn’t work, you can still join the LIVE Q&A and group coachings or upgrade to a VIP program – just write us a message. We are really flexible and want you to succeed. Worst case, if you have tried and applied all the exercises but the DIY program doesn’t work for you, we offer you a 21 day refund – so it’s all risk-free and you can see what is best for you.

+ When does the next LIVE Masterclass start?

The enrolment starts on December 6th, 2020. The first LIVE online group coaching will take place on January 7th, 2021, 6pm - 7:30pm (CET). There will be only limited spaces available.

+ I can’t participate in one of the appointments for the 5 LIVE coaching sessions. Is that a problem?

That’s okay! They are recorded and can be accessed any time. You will receive an email after each live event with a link to access it. If for any reason (e.g. injury, health problems, etc.), you can’t make it to three or more LIVE coaching sessions, please contact us and we’ll make sure you get a place in a future group coaching class.

+ I’m thinking about participating in the LIVE coaching sessions. How much time do I need to prepare for that?

The coaching sessions will take 1,5 hours each. We recommend you to prepare before: Is there anything on your mind you want to discuss in the LIVE session? Have you had any struggles where you need extra input? Is there any particular experience you’d like to share in the group? We aim to create a non-judgemental, trustworthy and confidential setting in which you feel happy to share your experiences.

+ How often do I need to train falling?

To be honest: the more often, the better. To overcome our fear of falling, we will need to train falling. However, there will be days when you feel worse and you’re not in the right mindset to train falling. On such days, you obviously don’t need to force yourself. Also, when saying the more often, the better – we also recommend you to be patient with yourself. Change needs time and won’t happen over night.

+ How will the Masterclass content be delivered?

You will receive access to an exclusive membership area where you have access to the video course, workbook and guided breathing meditations. Additionally, you will receive extra worksheets, exercises and surprises via weekly emails that you can save for a lifetime of guidance.

+ My gym is currently closed due to Corona. I'm afraid of falling. Can I still work on it?

Once, you have purchased the DIY Masterclass, you'll have unlimited access to all the content – whenever you want and wherever you want. There are still things you can work on despite your gym being closed. Of course, at some point you'll probably need to go to the gym or to the crag and apply what you learnt – but whether that's now or a bit later, doesn't matter.

+ What’s the difference between the three pricing options?

If you're the self-motivated type, I created the DIY version for you to explore on your own, with plenty of guidance from me baked into the journey. That’s 299€.

If you’re looking for more personalised attention, and a community who’s on the journey with you, I created the LIVE version, which includes 5 live Q&A calls & group coachings with an intimate community during the 6-week journey. That’s 599€.
